Ting Chen

Ting is proud to call herself a citizen of the world. Born in China and raised amid the energy of New York City, she has since lived, studied, volunteered, and worked in places as varied as England, Spain, Poland, Costa Rica, and Southeast Asia.

​

Before writing her first children’s book, Ting built a decade-long career in global real-estate private equity, leading projects and teams across continents. Yet her heart has always been drawn to storytelling, learning, and teaching. Fascinated by the brain’s ability to rewire itself, and by the ways people grow and cultures connect, she pursued further studies in cognitive psychology, child development, education planning, public policy, international law, and impact investing, earning credentials from Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, UNESCO, and the World Bank Group.

 

Ting has served on policy think tanks, sat on the boards of charter schools, and worked with Rotary International to create educational programs for young people.

Today she channels these passions into her work as an entrepreneur, with TranscendEd Global and the Adventures of Zenith children’s book series at the heart—where curiosity, compassion, and imagination come together to inspire young minds and create magic out of the ordinary.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, Ting believes that education
is the greatest equalizer and has the power to change the world.
She strives to empower others to build brighter futures, going beyond limits to help turn the impossible into reality.

Zenith

​

Zenith is Ting’s beloved “best friend, son, and muse”—and the star of
the Adventures of Zenith series. This blue-merle Pomsky—a lively mix
of Husky and Pomeranian, often mistaken for a little “baby wolf” —
has the bluest, most soulful eyes and the biggest heart.

​

A true gentleman—and sometimes a playful rogue with just a dash of chaos — Zenith loves chasing adventures big and small, never missing a chance to learn something new or brighten someone’s day with his boundless enthusiasm, contagious smile, and goofy charm.
He is a friend to every child, every grown-up, every animal —
and even the occasional extraterrestrial.

Zenith is a devoted foodie, a belly-rub aficionado, and a fan of
long car rides with his head out the window and his fur in the wind.
He loves running ahead to explore new places but always looks back
to make sure you’re right behind. He makes every journey feel like home, reminding you that you’re loved — or, just as likely, that he’d like a snack. He is on an ambitious mission to visit every country in the world with his favorite human by his side.

His name, Zenith, means “the time at which something is most powerful or successful—the highest point reached.” It was chosen because he embodies the spirit of going beyond, inspiring to aim higher and strive for more. He is a joyful reminder of the important things in life and of the magic that love and pure-hearted curiosity bring to the world.
