Travel Series
A children’s book series about travel that takes young readers on a journey through the countries of our world—exploring culture, history, language, ethnicity, geography, food, landmarks, and the meaning of identity and what it means to be an “international citizen.”
The series aims to build global competence by giving children a more complete view of the world and themselves. It encourages them to see and understand life from many perspectives, to **develop curiosity and appreciation for differences—both locally and abroad—**and to grow in empathy.

The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) defines global competence as:
"The capacity to analyse global and intercultural issues critically and from multiple perspectives, to understand how differences affect perceptions, judgements, and ideas of self and others, and to engage in open, appropriate and effective interactions with others from different backgrounds on the basis of a shared respect for human dignity"
